2026 South West Junior Hockey Carnival

The Bunbury Carnival is back for 2026, and it is set to be another unforgettable weekend of hockey, fun and friendship.

The 2026 South West Junior Hockey Carnival will be held at Bunbury Hockey Stadium over the 3-day June long weekend, from Saturday 30 May to Monday 1 June.

Age groups are below.

• Year 5/6
• Year 7/8
• Year 9/10

For many junior players, this is one of the absolute highlights of the season. It is a weekend full of great hockey, hanging out with friends, team bonding and making memories on and off the field. Rain, hail or shine, hockey is always fun at Bunbury.

Fremantle Cockburn Hockey Club has a long history of sending junior teams to this carnival, and we are hoping to do the same again this year. If you are playing in J5/6s, J7/8s or J9/10s and would love to be part of the experience, we would love you to register.

Games begin early on Saturday morning and wrap up by around lunchtime on Monday, with finals usually played after midday.

We will also be organising a team dinner on Saturday night, which is always a great chance for players to relax, have fun and build friendships away from the turf. One of the highlights of the night is the funny skits performed by the kids, which always bring plenty of laughs and make the weekend even more memorable.

The expected cost is around $85, which will help cover registration fees, umpire costs, gifts for coaches and other carnival expenses.
